Character Types
The
bene-elohim are the greatest of the crusaders for all that is
good and right in the three worlds. All true angels serve an Archangel,
directly or indirectly; those who don't are Outcasts, stuck on Earth.
While not all of the
bal-elohim are inherently evil, they do universally
serve to further the cause of selfishness in the world. All legal demons
serve a Demon Prince in some way, even from birth, just by virtue of the
Principality they inhabit in Hell. Demons may switch superiors, though it
is not done often and betrays a knack for betrayal. Those demons who do
not serve are Renegades, shunning the company of other Diabolicals and staying
on Earth to inflict their own personal dark philosophies on humanity.
The other major type of celestial is not celestial at all -- angels and
demons whose Forces have been struck such a blow as to be stripped of anything
divine or infernal. These are Remnants, spare vessels of angels and demons
whose minds strain to contain the vastness of their former selves.
