Yaiy'aho (0106 Ealiyasiyw B2000L6-A):
Yaiy'aho is the site of an Ikhtealyo-sponsored archaeological dig.
The small permanent staff is composed of a handful of scientists
and robots, but transient scholars regularly arrive to assist, and
the starport is almost entirely automated.
Yaiy'aho is protected by four orbiting
Ikhtealyo warships; their marines are often seen at the site. The
clan's interest in the archaeological proceedings is unknown,
although rumors of Ancient finds and other oddities abound. -eal TD 18
Ye-Lu (1123 Core A100134-G): Navy
scientists at Ye-Lu are particularly proud of their accomplishments:
the Ye-Lu starport is operated by the Imperial Navy as a research
project, testing the limits of robotic networking. The entire corps of
robots at the facility is tied together into one gigantic master/slave
network; theoritically, the entire starport is "one" robot, with only
"one" brain, but the brain is dispersed throughout the complex. All
communication between the robots is handled by portable meson
communicators, another important experimental device developed
by the Imperial Navy at Ye-Lu. -core TD 10
Year Zero: The base year of the
Imperial calendar and the founding year of the Third Imperium. By selecting
a base year numbered zero (instead of the generally selected year
1), the Imperial dating system became a standard number line
extending forwards and backwards in time.
Years before the founding of the Imperium
become simple negative numbers, and the differences between dates
before and after the founding of the Imperium could be determined
by subtraction. -ld IE
Yehta (0226 Dark Nebula C1008HB-A): Yehta is
simply the largest of the planetoids in its orbit. Pulled from
three directions by their two primaries and a gas giant, these
fragments could never coalesce into a larger mass. The planetoids
do contain almost every element in the periodic table, however;
this area of space has been through three or four cycles of
supernova explosions since the formation of the universe; each
cycle forms heavier elements and scatters them. Yehta has attracted
a sizable belter population from several clans (whose relations are
usually rather tense). -dn TD 17
Yerlyaruiwo: This clan and its allies
comprise the most powerful bloc in the Aslan Hierate. The death of
the Yerlyaruiwo ambassador by the hand of Dulinor has infuriated
them, along with others outside the bloc. When the Brotherhood of
Tokeaias (an assassins guild) fommed to cross the Great Rift and
make Dulinor pay for his great dishonor to our Aslan people,
Yerlyaruiwo offered immediate and generous support.
Yerlyaruiwo philosophy pays much attention to
emotional control especially in combat. The Yerlyaruiwo-Tralyeaeawi
War demonstrated this talent well. While Tralyeaeawi enjoyed many
advantages during that war, Yerlyaruiwo frustrated and enraged that
clan to the point of recklessness, which soon cost Tralyeaeawi the
war.
Yerlyaruiwo sees itself as the guardian of
Tlaukhu honor. Its representatives and diplomats correct their
counterparts from other major clans on points of conduct with
little hesitation. They are usually the first to challenge more
serious infractions. -tlau S&A
Yeyfoui' (1708 Dark Nebula A548344-B):
Classified as an Amber Zone by the Traveller's Aid Society,
Yeyfoui' is the site of a long, bloody clan war. The Stikeiwyasi
and Ktaih clans have been struggling for control of the planet's
silver mines for several years. Originally partners in the mining
industry, the clans came to blows when Ktaih (the clan responsible
for shipping the silver off-world) accused Stikeiwyasi (responsible
for the extraction and processing of the ore) of using an outside
shipper in order to cheat them out of profits. Since then, the two
have been engaged in a low-intensity clan war, and little silver
has been coming out of the mines. -dn S&A
