April 14, 2021: My Favorite 2021 April Fool

Now that the madness is past, I can reflect on what was funny, what was convincing for a moment, and what was both.

The Lego "smart bricks" that get out of your way, so you don't step on them, were funny, even if I didn't believe them. (Those of you who are reading this from the far future, where we all live in a Smart Fog, try not to laugh.)

My very favorite was here. It's a scientific paper, which demonstrates, complete with excellent and comprehensive citations, that we have looked too deeply into the universe and as a result we are DOOOOMED.
