The Stockholder
An ordinary suburban woman and her cat stand skeptically against an Annual Report. She has invested her savings, and now has second thoughts. The cat is symbolic of domestic life. The two of them are dependent on the company's earnings, estimates, dividends, and growth for their upkeep and retirement. Admonishment to company officers: Never, ever mess with a woman or her cat. Responsibility, obligation, prudence, vigilance. Reversed: penury, poverty, unmet expectations.
