We previously mentioned Wizards of the Tabletop during its Kickstarter run, and it has now been delivered to backers!  The book features 100 pages of photographs and stories about some of the most influential people in the gaming industry, including our own Steve Jackson. Massive AI tanks don't intimidate the students of Indiana University, apparently, because they used our Ogre scenario "Bad Timing" in their game-design class! This was a free scenario included in issue 210 of GTM (available at most local game stores), as well as at our booth at Gen Con and other conventions . . . read article

There's no place like home." August was a very busy month for me; I had three conventions (Board Game Bash, Gen Con, and Fan Expo Canada) and was a guest at the Austin regional for the Unrivaled tournament series. I'm experimenting with neoprene terrain – specifically, making some terrain myself, both to play Ogre Miniatures and to get an idea what ought to go into a commercial set. Bottom line of the experiments so far: it has been fun to do it as a craft project, but it would be a lot more cost-effective to buy it at the store if I could find exactly what I wanted . . . read article
