January 10, 2006: Tower Watching

The University of Texas campus is dominated by a large tower, which is normally lit in white. On special occasions, though, the top is lit orange. For very special occasions (beating Texas A&M, for instance), the whole tower is orange. And for a national championship, they do this.

I had never seen it before, except in pictures, so after work today I took a little detour. Pretty . . . the orange is just the color of a glowing coal. Go team.
