August 16, 2012 – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Following the success of Munchkin The Guild, an expansion for the hit Munchkin card game, Steve Jackson Games and Knights of Good Productions are pleased to announce their second team-up: Chez Guild. This standalone game, based on the award-winning Chez Geek, gives players the chance to share in the adventures of the hit web series, The Guild.
"My only problem with this concept," says Steve Jackson, "is that we probably shouldn't actually let the characters choke each other to death. But you know they want to. They really want to."
"The Guild is a fantastic show, and it's great to have another opportunity to play in their world," said Chez Guild co-designer Andrew Hackard. "Since the main characters all drive each other crazy, it's a perfect fit for the Chez Geek line."
Felicia Day, creator and star of The Guild, adds, "I played Chez Geek for the first time during a rehearsal for TableTop and it was so much fun! I'm thrilled that fans are going to be able to experience this awesome game with The Guild characters. I'm looking forward to playing Clara for a change. Although if Chez Guild were real life, I think Vork would probably win."
Chez Guild will be a 112-card set illustrated by "Geek a Week" creator and artist Len Peralta. Look for it in stores in Summer 2013.
