![]() Origins Award for Best Card Game of 1994 |
INWO is the trading-card version of Illuminati, the original game of conspiracy and weirdness from Steve Jackson Games. And further weirdness: Assassins, a 125-card supplement, and INWO SubGenius, a 100-card supplement and standalone expansion. Plus the INWO Book, a complete player's guide to INWO.
Illuminati: Crime Lords is a standalone game using mechanics from both Illuminati and INWO.

The Secret Masters in their infinite wisdom have decided to give us a glimpse of a possible future: 1 card from the completely non-existent INWO expansion Bavarian Fire Drill [fnord]. The card is a resource which revitalizes the zaps, paralyzes and attribute freezes from the previous expansion Assassins. These cards were always tricky to use properly, being either hard to power or plain expensive. But now they are back with a vengeance, and you can help demonstrate their new power.
So, evil geniuses, this is your chance to do something clever with zaps, freezes and paralyzes! This is the contest: Design a 45 card deck, featuring the resource "The Nine Unknown Men" described below. Your submission must include both a 45 card deck-list, as well as a write-up on how to play the deck. If you can divide your submission into the following paragraphs - The Plan, Opening Game, Midgame, Endgame, Potential Problems, Variants & Substitutions - then so much the better! Check out past winners for plenty examples. Send your submissions preferably in html format (but otherwise txt, doc and rtf will do fine) to Martin Laerkes, no later than the 23rd of October. Remember to write "DotW" in the subject line.
If you are artistically inclined, you are more than welcome to also submit your rendition of the card art for The Nine Unknown Men.
Right, gentlemen, this is the card. Have fun:
Type: Resource(Note: BDF was finally released, but not as an expansion for INWO. Instead, the cards are designed to work with Deluxe Illuminati. Sorry for any confusion!)
