A World of Darkness sourcebook has to wear a lot of different masks to be successful. On one side, it should have at least a reference or two to most of the product lines. On another, it should expand the WoD and cover all of the essential rules and modifications that come with the territory it's covering. Blood-Dimmed Tides does both.

In four chapters, Blood-Dimmed Tides covers not only the oceans of the World of Darkness, but also expands many individual WoD titles. Mage has technocrats down here doing their usual business with the Deepwater project.

The book doesn't leave out the Eastern counterparts though. While not as heavily detailed as other areas, but there is information for the Sea of Japan and the Keike Crabs which guard them.

The book doesn't focus on any one aspect of water bound campaigns. There are tidbits enough in here for the GM who wants to run a gothic epic in a vein similar to "Rhyme of the Ancient . . .
