Bond. James Bond. The James Bond 007 trading card game, to be precise. That's the new TCG from Heartbreaker, the company that brought us The Crow and Doomtrooper. Yawn, you say. With a new TCG coming out every day it seems, what's one more? One thing separates Bond from 99% of the TCGs that have come out in the past year or two: Bond is a good game. I've picked up a few cards here and there for different games, mostly poor attempts by no-name companies. Games that just aren't fun or aren't playable. Bond is different.

Bond cards come in two general types: Plot Cards (blue back) and Action Cards (red back). The Action Cards are used by the player in his attempt to complete missions, defeat villains, etc. The Plot Cards are used to provide the other players with missions to complete and villains to overcome. Nearly all of the cards have photos from the movies, but some have really cool illustrations instead, particularly mission cards.

Action Cards come in several flavors: Bond, Personality, Q, and Intrigue. Personality cards are generally Bond's allies, but the category also covers characters who are not initially allied with Bond, but can be persuaded later. Q cards are equipment, including weapons, such as the Walther PPK with silencer, and vehicles such as the Aston-Martin Volante. Intrigue cards are used throughout . . .
