The demons are coming! The demons are coming! In Terry Brooks' novel The Elfstones of Shanara, the heroes quest to turn back an army of newly unleashed demons set on conquering the world. Raymond E. Feist's Serpentwar saga opens with the remnants of a race forced to travel dimensionally because a theocracy allowed demons access to their world to prevent being conquered, and the demons quickly destroyed the entire world. A demonic invasion by the forces of evil can turn a campaign apocalyptic as hell is unleashed and runs wild.

Soul Harvest is a d20 System sourcebook set on providing a toolkit for demonic invasions and the mini-campaign setting of Sinder where a successful invasion has occurred. All of the discussion of issues raised by a demonic invasion, however, are tied into the specific cosmology of the world of Sinder. Individual elements such as the classes, spells, monsters, and groups can mostly be used in any campaign easily, but discussions of the various race reactions to the invasions, for example, are tied directly to the particular world of Sinder and its proposed history and cosmology.

In Sinder there is the Light and The Dark. Gods do not enter the picture, just two sides of Good and Evil (with neutrals and druids worshipping an incarnate nature earth goddess who does not intervene). There is one Hell (also called . . .
