The history of Twilight Creations, Inc's popular Zombies!!! board game reads like that of a cadaver, or even a bad zombie flick. It was originally designed and published by Journeyman Press, a division of The United States Playing Card Company. Their parent company's unfortunate decision to close them down left the game in limbo, but the designers resurrected themselves as Twilight Creations, Inc. and released several new games of their own, including the more broadly focused horror roleplaying/board game, When Darkness Comes: The Awakening and its various supplements and expansions, and the board game Dante's Inferno. They also regained the rights to publish their original creation, Zombies!!!

Since then the game has not only won the 2001 Origins Award for "Best Graphic Presentation of a Board Game," Dave Aikins' work on the cards was, and continues to be simultaneously deliciously sly and gory, but also had its "love" (to steal a phrase from All Flesh Must Be Eaten) spread through another two supplements. Both provided more Map Tiles and Event Cards, the first Zombies!!! 2: Zombie Corps(e) adding an army base and special government "glow-in-the-dark" zombies, while the second, Zombies!!! 3: Mall Walker . . .
