Deathright is a fairly usual adventure wrapped around a fairly unusual presentation. Designed for four to six heroes of 8th to 9th level, Deathright is ostensibly set in the world of Kenzer and Company's Kingdoms of Kalamar setting, more than enough details are presented of the world that it should be fairly easy to run the adventure without access to the main campaign book; likewise the adventure itself is generic enough that it should be straightforward to translate it to other generic d20 System fantasy campaigns without too much effort.

[SPOILER ALERT!]

The action in Deathright revolves around the Eb'Sobet Lake area, where a multitude of problems have beset the region at once. A mysterious illness, called The Wrack, has begun infecting people of the region; meanwhile, children have gone missing, and are presumed kidnapped. Finally, undead have begun roaming the region in ever-increasing numbers.

All of these problems are, of course, tied to the same source. A group of necromancers called the Harvesters have been seeking a book of great necromatic power: the Darklight Codex. They have also been attempting to awaken a lich, whose power they hope to harness. The lich in question is the undead incarnation of Queen Simura, a once-benevolent monarch of the region who fell in with a necromancer after her clever lover died.
