Dubbed "A Sourcebook About Dead People Who Are Mad As Hell", this Wraith book really captures the ironic, self-referential humor that marks the better White Wolf books. As Richard Dansky's last turn as Wraith line editor, it's an unpretentious romp about the most interesting of the Wraiths, full of great ideas with the occasional bit of self-mocking grandeur to add levity. And it works not just for new characters, but as a way to expand existing characters who are getting a bit jaded with their current Wraith-like goals.

First, and foremost, the bibliography on "the literature of revolution" is outstanding. From there, we segue into the history of the (Shadowlands) revolution, a somewhat dry affair. Then we move into the renegade material proper. Fortunately, the authors were bright enough to put the 'definitions' of renegade types by goal, not affiliations.

Ranging from protestors, idealists, outlaws, and drop-outs, they are loosely pigeonholed only as leaders or followers. The writers know their stuff-- this is a good sourcebook for anyone starting a counter-culture volunteer organization, as well as serving well for Wraith.

Art and production are standard White Wolf-- competent without being particularly showy or outstanding. It's a book you'll read (and it is readable - no dark fonts on gray paper, just clean black-and-white) and the . . .
