Probably one of the greater mysteries on the island of Al Amarja was, even though espionage and intelligence gathering is such a key ingredient in the daily life of the players, there never was a book on it. After all, the spy game is just one of the major games within games that's the life blood of Over The Edge.

Which probably goes a long ways towards explaining why OTE creator Tweet finally went and did it. True to the patois of the island, he had to call it Cloaks, Martian parlance for cloak and dagger activity.

Cloaks is not a book for the beginning player. It is very dependent on a number of other OTE titles to truly work. If you don't already own the main OTE source book and about three other key titles such as Friend or Foe, by all means get those first. If you don't, you will end up hopelessly lost.

On the other hand, if you do have the other material, Cloaks is one of the most intriguing books in this long running series. Tweet has taken some major stylistic leaps in this book. Cross-reference Cloaks with the other key titles and the GM is going to have a field day.

The most important element of Cloaks is Tweet provides only one new adventure and one new setting. He introduces a uniquely Edge-like character that is a very major threat to one of the key unseen powers on Al-Amarja, the Pharaohs. Further, Tweet introduces a new nightclub for very . . .
