In the Deadlands universe, your worst enemy could very well be yourself. It doesn't help that demonic manitous are more than willing to help you on the road to perdition. Maybe that's why the most powerful characters are those holy men who only fear the wrath of God, not some escapee from the shadow lands.

Fire & Brimstone is the much-anticipated Blessed supplement to Pinnacle's deservedly award-winning Deadlands RPG. Those already familiar with the game are well aware that, along with the Native American Shamans, the Blessed are probably the only real hope of ever hammering down the legions of Hell that were unleashed at the beginning of the series. As the title implies, the Blessed are your fire-and-brimstone preachers. They are also a heck of a lot more.

First and foremost, writer John Goff was smart enough to realize that one needn't be a Protestant minister in order to be a member of the Blessed. He was smart enough to include such religious clergy as Catholic priests, rabbis, Taoist monks and just about any other religious order. Unfortunately, when it comes to character creation, Goff fails to provide any prototypes for these other denominations, but that's about this supplement’s only weak point.

The real strength of the title is the list of miracles, . . .
