Mind's Eye Theatre Journal is White Wolf's quarterly magazine for its live-action line. Two issues are now on sale [Editor's Note: a third issue is now out, but not covered by this review.] at your local gaming shop. Should you pick up a copy? Well, are you looking for a live action gaming magazine, or are you looking for a Mind's Eye Theatre supplement?

Mind's Eye Theatre (MET) has produced over a dozen rulebooks adapting the World of Darkness from tabletop to live-action, a process that mostly consists of translating the mechanics from a 10-sided dice pool system to rock-paper-scissors. Of course, these books only cover the major points of the setting, passing over the more exotic bloodlines, shapeshifters, and rituals. It is the goal of the MET Journal to fill those gaps. Additionally, it gives White Wolf a forum to publish fixes for some of the more glaring errors in the MET system. Overall, it accomplishes both, but raises the question of its nature -- is it a live action gaming magazine, as advertised, or is it a quarterly supplement?

The regular features include several normal magazine-type articles, such as editorials from the current line developer and two past line developers, a FAQ, a calendar of events, a fiction piece, and a section of an adventure. The insight provided by not one, but three, line developers is interesting, . . .
