ERRATA - GURPS Low-Tech - January 9, 2007
Copyright © by Steve Jackson Games Incorporated.
P. 1. On the cover page, the following playtesters were accidentally omitted: Glen Barnett and Robert Prior. Also, remove the name Tomansky and replace it with David Levi.
P. 13. In The Ice Man sidebar:
- Raise the point total back to the printed value of 60 (see the second erratum following) (Note: This reverses a previous erratum.)
- Change Oetzi's "Armoury (Stone Knapping)" skill to "Stone Knapping"
- Raise "Survival (Woodland)-9 [1]" to "Survival (Woodland)-10 [2]"
P. 19. In the sidebar Bridges, change the second and third paragraphs to read as follows:
How much a suspension bridge can support can be calculated as follows. Assume, for example, a 100' gap to be bridged with a 1" rope. The rope cannot be made perfectly taut; assume an extra 15% length to allow for this, or total length 115 feet. The rope has a strength of 1,800 lbs. The rope weighs 34.5 lbs., so it can support over 1,765.5 lbs., or over 8 men.
The same calculation can be made for a rope-and-board bridge. Two ropes can each support 1,800 lbs.; the two ropes weigh 69 lbs., and 115' of boards 1" thick and 2' wide weigh 575 lbs., for a total of 644 lbs. The bridge can thus support 2,956 lbs., or over 14 men.
P. 35. In The Pazyryk Ice Maiden sidebar:
- Raise Ledi's point total to 65
- Add "Clerical Investment [5]" to her list of advantages
P. 46. The lancet page reference should be to p. 122, not 121.
P. 60. In the Miles Herculaneus sidebar:
- Raise the point total to 110
- Change "Broadsword-12 [4]" to "Shortsword-12 [4]"
P. 72. In the first paragraph, the text should reference the sidebar on p. 65, not 72.
P. 84. In The Ladby Ship Jarl sidebar, raise the cost of "Status 5" to 20 points. Raise the character's point total to 177 points.
P. 93. In the second paragraph of Astronomy and Navigation, change "such as a sextant at Samarkand with a radius of 130'" to "such as a quadrant at Baghdad with a radius of 20' and a sextant with a radius of 56'".
P. 95. The labels under the weapons pictures have been switched. "Japanese Swords" should be "Indian Sword" and "Indian Swords" should be "Japanese Sword".
P. 107. Under Broadsword:
- Shotel - delete "[5]" from the Special Notes column
- Bastard Sword and Thrusting Bastard Sword - replace "[5]" in the Special Notes column with "[2]"
P. 108. Under Polearm:
- Gaff - replace "[2]" in the Special Notes column with "[5]"
- Light Horse-Cutter - add an * to the Reach entry for the imp attack

- Scythe - under Special Notes, add "-2 to hit when impaling."
- Warhammer - add an * to the Reach entry for the cr attack
- Under Two-Handed Sword, change the Special Notes entry for quarterstaff from "Sword technique." to "Using sword technique."
- At the bottom of the page, under Notes, change "[5]" to read "Quick Contest of weapon skill vs. Dodge to engage target; Contest of ST for wielder or target to pull each other; damage inflicted only while pulling; hold on target lost after crippling damage to a limb." (Note: This alters a previous erratum.)
- There is no note [12]; it was inadvertently left out of the numbering scheme.
